• Every day approximately 2,000 U.S. workers sustain a work-related eye injury.
• About 1 in 10 injuries result in one or more missed workdays.

The 3M Eyewear Fit System helps to ensure proper fit for reduced eye injuries. The system evaluates four areas of proper fit: View, Security, Coverage, and Gaps.

• View: The eyewear frame should not obstruct the field of view.
• Security: The eyewear stays in place while the employee works.
• Coverage: Protection from the brow to cheek bone to protect the soft tissues of the eye.
• Gap: The eyewear should have limited gaps for a projectile get to the wearer’s eyes.
