NCAT Women's Leader Retreat is an interactive day in which women share challenges, learn from others, learn tools for effective leadership, and build a network of women leaders to call on back at work. Specific topics include the common challenges of self-criticism, “imposter syndrome,” and the fear of not belonging as well as effective tools to manage inner voices and manage subtle cues in communication and conflict with others to successfully navigate the double bind. Women leaders often express that it is hard to be authentic, especially in male-dominated industries, such as construction.
